The first edition of IN MOTION - Idea Contest and IN MOTION - Tech Festival took place!
Idea Lab
IN MOTION Idea Lab for Sustainability & Mobility is a 3-year programme co-funded by the European Union (EFRE / FESR) and dedicated to creating innovation and hacking ideas by uniting disciplines and know-how – and all takes place at NOI Techpark Brunico.
Contest
As part of the the Idea Lab, the first Contest brought some life to NOI Techpark in Brunico:
- 47 participants from companies, students, pupils from schools participated
- 2 challenges to solve
- 2,5 days hacking ideas for the future
- 2 winning ideas
Now, the winning ideas will be accompanied for six months in the acceleration process, with the target to bring their projects to reality!
Tech Festival
The winning ideas have been presented at the Tech Festival in front of the whole audience – and have been chosen by the jury! But the whole day offered a whole world to discover, too…
At NOBIS Brunico a day filled with innovation and technology took place:
- 29 exhibitors in a tech-and innovation-parcours
- 2 keynote speakers
- 9 Idea Contest pitches
- 2 MiniNOI Workshops for kids
- 700+ visitors throughout the day

MiniNOI Workshops
IN MOTION – Tech Festival is also a festival for the whole family!
With the NOI Techpark’s MiniNOI project, we bring science and technology closer to the most curious children. At IN MOTION we do this with Lego. Cool, right? It’s a special Lego: our constructions can also move and become real little robots. In this workshop, we learn the basics of construction and robot programming in a fun way!

IN MOTION Idea Contest is a technology based idea competition where students, researchers, experts from companies, start-ups work together – a unique, new format and a premiere! (Language: Flexible German, Italian, English)
The challenges
- How might we prevent knowledge from getting lost or diminish?
The aim of this topic is to explore innovative approaches for continuous learning, sharing of knowledge, skills and human resources in and across companies.
- How might we avoid and / or exploit waste and side-streams?
The aim of this topic is to explore inventive approaches to refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle materials and resources in and across organisations.
